General Care

Treadmills

  • If you wish to wipe the machine, do it with a soft cloth with a non-abrasive cleanser applied to the cloth. Don't put detergent straight onto the machine.
  • Silicon spray will need to be sprayed between the mat and the deck periodically, depending on useage. The first can of Steelflex silicon comes with the Treadmill.

Treadmill Mat Slipping

Mat tension may reduce over time, tension can be adjusted through the use of the supplied tools.   Turn the both allen key bolts evenly, one quarter turn, clockwise, at a time.  Each time you do this, test the treadmill mat for tighteness by walking or running on the machine.  CAUTION -  If these are over tightened it will place strain on the roller bearings so it is important to turn gradually.

If the mat has slipped to one side, then loosen the side it has moved towards (turn anticlockwise), and tighten the side that it moved away from (clockwise) until it is even when the mat is running.

Resetting Your Treadmill if it Reads "ERR7"
Your treadmill may come up with a "ERR7" message if it has got out of balance.  It is a mechanism to protect the incline motor and is easily reset.

Situation 1:
The display shows "ERR7" and the incline is at its lowest level.
Solution 1:
Turn on the power, press the STOP and UP button at the same time (simultaneously).  While the treadmill inclines by about 10cm, turn off the power.  Turn on the power, the function will return to normal (default).  "ERR7" problem solved.
Situation 2:
The display shows "ERR7" and the incline is at its highest level.
Solution 2:
Turn on the power, press the STOP and UP button at the same time (simultaneously).  While the treadmill inclines by about 10cm, turn off the power.  Turn on the power, the function will return to normal (default).  "ERR7" problem solved.

Exercise Bike

  • These bikes are virtually maintenance free. The console will require the batteries to be changed every now and then.

Cross-Trainers

  • The tracks along which the elliptical runs just need to be kept clean and clear of dirt to ensure a nice smooth stride on the machine.
  • Lubricant can be applied every now and then to the moving joints.
  • The console will require the batteries to be changed every now and then.
